Folks may be wondering what the For Sale sign is all about on the road in front of the Nursery. 

First and foremost, the EC Browns' Nursery is NOT going out of business or shutting down!

The passing of the nursery's matriarch last year as well as the fact that the current leadership is looking at retirement options resulted in us listing the business and property for prospective new owners which would pick up the running of the nursery. We are hoping to find a partner who will continue to evolve EC Browns' Nursery and maintain the same commitment of being that unique place that Elmer and Bertha Brown envisioned back in the 1960's and continues to grow under the direction of thier son Kevin Brown. There is no 3'rd generation Brown waiting in the wings to assume the mantle, thus the search for the next leader has begun!

As we head into our 58'th year serving the Upper Valley region in 2025, we want to reassure everyone that The E. C. Browns' Nursery is as committed as ever to servicing your landscaping needs ! As we explore options for the transition of ownership to the next steward over the coming months and years, you can expect the same great service, outstanding plant material and knowledge staff at The E.
