Sheepnose Apple (Black Gillflower Apple)

A large fruit with a conical shape somewhat reminiscent of a sheep's nose. Red skin often darkens to purplish-black. Flesh is firm yellow and rich. Excellent dessert apple.

Reminiscent of Spitzenburg, rich and sweet, with a relatively dry flesh. Hangs well on tree.
