Phlox divaricata ‘London Grove Blue’ is a handsome cultivar of our native woodland phlox.  This is a compact variety with lance-shaped leaves that develop a wine winter color.  In early spring, foliage is topped by loose clusters of showy fragrant bluish lavender flowers.  ‘London Grove Blue’ is a desirable ground cover for shade gardens with moist well-drained soil.
